Businiess name:  Precision Carpet Care

Review content:
The only reason that we gave this company one star is because you can't publish the review without rating it. Citysearch needs to have a deduction star rating system in this case. Called the owner Jason to book carpet clean, tile clean and clean two silk blend chairs. He confirmed that they did dry cleaning of upholstered furniture. Booked them for next day. They were supposed to arrive between 12-2. At 1 I called Jason. He couldn't tell me when they would arrive, said he'd call me back, fifteen min. later, no return call, I called him again. A technician called me back to say he was on the way. When he showed up, it was not Jason, the owner/operator. The guy was in an unmarked van and had no Precision Carpet uniform. When I asked him if was an employee or a subcontractor, he said he was an employee and pulled back the shirt he was wearing to reveal a logo on a t-shirt with a logo that said Precision. In hindsight, bad sign! I walked him around the carpet areas of the house and showed him the tile areas that were to be cleaned. I showed him the two chairs. Told him the chairs were silk and were dry clean only. When I asked him to put in writing the square feet of carpet, and he said not necessary, and that he didn't have the right equipment to clean the tile, I got another bad vibe about this company. I left him to clean the carpets. I left him to go back to work in my office. About an hour later, he reported that he was finished with carpet and about to star the chairs. The next thing I know, one of the chairs is soaking wet from the wetvac machine, the tech is out in the garage calling someone on his cell. My chair is turning from oatmeal colored silk to greenish yellow. The guy didn't have clue how to clean fine furniture or carpet. The tech said that he had spoken to Jason the owner and that Jason would call me and come to the house sometime Friday to see the chair. This carpet is very high end product it was not pulled away from any baseboards before this guy did his thing. We've had it cleaned by other carpet cleaning companies over years and we've never had this problem. Last night, I went upstairs to see the carpet when it was almost dried out. The carpet in every room that he used the wetvac now needs to be repaired. The carpet has pulled away from the wall baseboards. (I was not even aware of the mess this guy had made with the carpet.) I called Jason the owner this morning. He said he knew a tech had been at the house yesterday but didn't know there was problem with his tech's work. He asked what the problem was with chair. He played dumb and said he didn't know what I meant about the fabric being puckered. Said he had never heard that term in ten years of cleaning. He said that you never wet clean silk. I said that was my point. His tech had. Then he starts in shouting at me. The damage to the chair and repair to have the carpets stretched and re-tacked will be in the thousands. Hire at your own risk. Cons: Damaged Carpet and chair
