It's impossible to make any structural changes to your building without DOB approval in Queens. Ask me-I tried and paid for it (fines!!?&^%$). Paul is a licensed architect (yes, the license makes a difference) and Architects Rule represented me at variance hearings (necessary for code violations). yes, I paid his fee, but he actually helped me save money by maximizing my property's square footage (I didn't know I could build out). He was right on the mark with calculating construction costs. Paul made up for the sins of my previous contractor who tried to cut corners. Pretty darn difficult for that shite to happen with Paul inspecting BEFORE the walls are closed up. He's the real deal and a nice guy too (which is important when the DOB is breathing down your neck).
