I wanted to try this new Indian place, this is only few blocks away from another Indian restaurant in Studio City. Parking is not very easy but we were able to find parking inside Lal Mirch's small parking area. Ambience is good, place is clean, service is good. Well, we were there for the food! They gave pappad which tasted like pappad made out of reused oil, or it might be old. We ordered sample platters in the appetizer it comes with meat samosa, vegetable samosa, onion bakora and one more cutlet kind, we substituted the meat samosa with vegetable samosa. The vegetable samosa was o.k, there is no salt in the samosa, so it tasted bland. We ordered onion kulcha, garlic naan and paratha. Kulcha and garlic naan tasted good with the mushroom curry we ordered, paratha taste was o.k but looked like one of those frozen parathas you get from Indian stores. We also tried one of their in-house specials karai gost which is lamb curry, the curry tasted good but the lamb was not so marinated with the curry. I finally wanted to try their orange sorbet desert as it sounded different, the serving was very good, frozen sorbet inside a real orange. The orange sorbet taste was not that great it reminded me about the taste of orange cream inside those orange cream biscuits. The bill was around $43+ tip. Sorry, will not repeat. Pros: Ambience,Clean and Service Cons: Parking,Average Food
