After some bad experiences in the past with other dentists (and five years without a dental check-up!) I randomly chose Dr. Skaggs from my insurance provider list, made an appointment, and hoped for the best. I was not disappointed. The waiting area was nice - it had a large TV and lots of reading material, and there were TV's in the ceiling to watch in the back rooms. The staff was very professional. Dr. Skaggs worked up a treatment plan for me and was not pushy about anything. He did not offer any cosmetic services like teeth whitening, etc. He was very friendly, and had a great sense of humor. My husband and I have been going to Dr. Skaggs for six years now, and have never had any problems with him or his office. When I have had any large out of pocket costs that weren't covered by insurance, the office has offered payment plans. There were one or two times where I had problems with claims being paid properly by my insurance, and the billing person was great to work with until things got resolved. They did not call me demanding payment, sending collection letters, etc. I have never had to wait longer than a couple of minutes in the waiting room before going to the back room - they always run on time with appointments. Their turnover is non-existent...the same people have been working in their office since I started going there, which says alot about Dr. Skaggs as an employer. Without a doubt, I would recommend Dr. Skaggs to anyone looking for a professional office and a good dentist.
