If you are looking for a super nice dentist, that will listen to your concerns, get you out of pain, quickly assess your problem and make your dental experience a great and pleasant one, KEEP LOOKING!!.. I went to Dr. Skaggs with a dental problem (pain, uncomfotable)..I had NEVER met this man in my life, I was a new patient. I thought his office was nice, state of the art and upon first going in, thought his staff was extremely friendly...silly me, thought he would be too. His dental tech took X-rays, got me ready for him to see me but when he came in to see me, that's when I knew I made a bad decision. He immediately yelled and screamed at me for the condition of the rest of my teeth, not even the one I was in pain with. He treated me like a 5 yr old...I was embarassed thinking of the people in the waiting room who could hear this grown man having a temper tantrum. As I said, my FIRST time meeting this man...His tirade lasted about 10 minutes, during all of this he NEVER examined my tooth I was having a problem with, instead he left the room and had his staff present me with a $6000.00 treatment plan. I was and still am very ANGRY with the service I received in this office. His statement was to basically take out loans and finance till I went in debt in order to let him fix my teeth. NO THANK YOU!!!!! I have since found a dentist who is very nice, patient and doesn't push thousands of dollars worth of cosmetic dental work down my throat. Which is what Dr. Skaggs primarily is into, cosmetic dentistry. AVOID if you have a TRUE dental problem...he will refer you out , let someone else do the work and collect money from you and the insurance company for doing nothing. I guess he does have to pay for the T.V.s in the ceiling. Just a side note to this horrific experience, I have reported him to my insurance company and the ADA.
Pros: State of the art office
Cons: Chair side manner is Atrocious.
