Dr. Tom and his staff are fantastic. We found Dr. Tom about 9 years ago and would never even consider another vet. A great way to describe him would be a walking Saint Francis of Assisi (the patron saint of animals). He has a genuine gift of making even the most neverous dog and owner more comfortable. My parents had a dog that had to have tranquilizers before he went to the vet; but after meeting Dr. Tom, he never needed one again.\r \r He also helped up with our Vizsla/Lab Cross who had cancer. We decided to go to him for a second opinion as we were just not satisfied with the service and support of our other vet. They basically gave up on us. Unfortunately the cancer did win eventually; but even before she passed Dr. Tom wanted to check her out and see if he had absolutely covered every single angle of her illness. I firmly believe that if it was not for Dr. Tom, Cinnamon would not have had the quality of life that she would have had if we had not decided to have him take a look at her.\r \r We now have another Vizsla age (who has Dr. Tom wrapped around her paw) and a Lab/Springer Cross 8 1/2. They have been patients of Dr. Tom since they were puppies. We have some kidney issues with our Lab/Springer that Dr. Tom found right away when she was young. Not only did he explain her condition in ways that we could understand; but he has always worked with us to keep her happy and healthy.\r \r No matter what, he always takes the time to meet and explain things to you and encourages you to ask questions. You may ask the same question or not understand something, and he will always take the time to make sure you are not confused. He also follows up on his patients, and will call you if you do not call him. He has even called us on his vacation to follow up with one of our animals. He cares and understands how important pets are to families and our society. We will never go anywhere else and we will always recommend him and his team to our friends and family. Pros: Takes awesome care of this patients and their owners. Cons: Sometimes hard to get into, and sometimes a little more pricey; but he will always work with on both.
