How tragic -- We had the EXACT SAME EXPERIENCE with my father at this facility. He was walking, talking, feeding himself and we had all worked so hard for 90 days to assist with his recovery from a brain injury. They have undone all that progress in one week. He is malnourished -- lost 6 pounds in that week, sedated most of the time, and we can't get straight answers from anyone. The case managers/workers are 'marketers' who feed off of each others' discharges/referrals to make their intake quotas. When the insurance is exhausted, they schedule discharge/move with no regard for patients' recovery. We can't get him out of there fast enough. I agree -- DO NOT place your loved one in this type of environment. If you can't walk in at any time, don't go there. \r \r If jkdpowell is still out there, I would love to communicate with them. I agree 100%. These places need to be held accountable. Pros: If you ever want to get rid of someone . . . Cons: You'd go to jail if you treated an animal this way
