How tragic -- We had the EXACT SAME EXPERIENCE with my father at this facility. He was walking, talking, feeding himself and we had all worked so hard for 90 days to assist with his recovery from a brain injury. They have undone all that progress in one week. He is malnourished -- lost 6 pounds in that week, sedated most of the time, and we can't get straight answers from anyone. The case managers/workers are 'marketers' who feed off of each others' discharges/referrals to make their intake quotas. When the insurance is exhausted, they schedule discharge/move with no regard for patients' recovery. We can't get him out of there fast enough. I agree -- DO NOT place your loved one in this type of environment. If you can't walk in at any time, don't go there. \r \r If jkdpowell is still out there, I would love to communicate with them. I agree 100%. These places need to be held accountable. Pros: If you ever want to get rid of someone . . . Cons: You'd go to jail if you treated an animal this way more

My Dad walked into Autumn life using a walker, was feeding himself, talking and continent. He left there malnourished, over-medicated, terribly confused, not walking, incontinent and so weak that he could not use his tongue to talk. What is even more tragic is that he would tell us (before he became so weak) that ""I need to leave here"" when we were ""ALLOWED IN"" to see him ONLY 2 hours in the evening. We told him that the good doctors were trying to make him stronger and that he should stay. How tragic for my Dad and my Mother. Do NOT use this facility. Any place that limits family visitation should be a warning. Hindsight is a great git but unfortunately, not in time to help my Father who still remains the same - except he is no longer over-medicated or malnourished. Autumn Life should be shut down, and I plan to do all I can in my power to make sure that happens. Dr. Darbe needs to lose his medical license. It is our duty to expose this facility and Dr. Darbe. While we cannot turn back time to return my father to the same condition that he was in before he entered Autumn Life, we can save you from making the same mistake with your loved one.\r \r Pros: Nothing good - avoid Cons: incompetent, intent to harm more
