Review content:
5/27/09. Last week my 81 year old father was taken by ambulance to West Valley Hospital in Goodyear AZ. Since I work in a city quite a distance away, he was at the hospital for 2 hours before I arrived. When I did arrive, he said he had been calling for a nurse since he arrived and he was freezing. He was wearing shorts and and unbuttoned short sleeve shirt. He did not have a blanket nor a pillow. I had to ask twice within a 15 minute period before someone came in. An hour later a staff person came in and asked to see my Dad's hospital ID bracelet. He did not have one. When I asked her to follow up she refused and said that was the responsibility of Registration. The lack of care, professionalism and compassion was appalling. Pros: Two physicians presented as professional Cons: Lack of care, compassion and professionalism by RN staff
