Businiess name:  Maoz Falafel

Review content:
After making an effort to go to Maoz on a rainy day and locate parking on a busy metered street, I was very disappointed with their service. I ordered two falafel sandwiches to bring back to some friends who wanted to try out the place, but couldn't make it out. Since I wasn't sure what they would want from the buffet of sandwich toppings, I brought a container to bring a little bit of everything back for them to try. I made sure that I had the permission of the cashier to do this. As I was scooping the toppings into the container, the manager or owner came over and in an upset, raised tone told me (in front of everyone) that I could not do that. It would have been fine if he had come over calmly and told me that he would allow this for this time only and that it would not be allowed in the future, but instead he just walked away as I tried to tell him that I had permission and was not trying to get away with anything. It really doesn't make any sense because if you eat at the place (which is quite small) you can have as much as you want of the toppings. And with me planning to bring some of it back for friends, they would have had an experience close to if they had eaten at the place which I would think would enhance the experience and spur them to tell others about the place. The cashier girl then took the container and scooped the toppings back onto the buffet bar...that's absolutely disgusting. Would you want to eat at a buffet bar where that's done? To top it off, they had a sign on the counter asking people to vote for them as the Best of Philly. NOT! I would not go back. They lost the future business of 3 people and all the friends that we would have told about the place. I've heard the Pita Pocket is good...maybe give them a try if you have a hankering for falafel. Cons: Terrible customer service
