Review content:
The other nite, my sister and I decided to check out Kemo Sabe, out in the Hillcrest area. We had received the recommendation from a co-worker, and were interested to try it. For the most part, my sister and I try to avoid chains, and check out the local scene as much as possible. We started out with the navajo bi pie, which was excellent. Our server referred to it as a ""Mexican Pizza,"" and it was topped with beans, an assortment of other vegetables, shrimp and chicken. For our entrees, I ordered the kahluha glazed peanut short ribs and my sister got the lamb. The ribs were AMAZING. I honestly could have eaten the sauce with just rice and been just fine, it was that good. The lamb was well prepared, though didn't seem to have an overwhelming flavor of any sort (which could be good or bad depending on how you look at it). Both our dishes were topped with carrots which were used as a garnish, which we could have done without. The portions were very sizable too, as my sister and I found ourselves unable to finish our meals. That didn't stop us from looking at the dessert menu, which though we didn't try, we certainly did get excited for. Our server was very attentive and knowledgable of the menu, which always helps. In short, this place was nothing short of wonderful, and we certainly hope to go back soon!
Pros: Selection of high quality food, service
Cons: parking
