nitially, I had a good impression about STM. Was in the store looking at countertops, requested an estimate, all was going well. Was on the fence about who to use and pursuing options, when I got an email from the owner, that sealed the deal. It was the personal attention, appearance of a strong desire to earn my business and a commitment to customer satisfaction, that made me sure I was making the right decision. Unfortunately, the only good thing I can say about STM at this point, is their staff is friendly. There was no follow-up whatsoever from the sales person, ie. even with the initial measuring for the estimate, I had to call to find out what time they were coming on the day of... it then became evident the sales person gave me a date, but did not schedule internally. That example is consistent with my entire experience every step of the way, for both the countertop and backsplash, which were installed separately. As a working professional, can't begin describe the level of frustration in having to constantly call for every little thing, because their poor at the service and follow-up part. There were several hiccups along the way w/both the countertop and backsplash installations, that were caused by STM' either; lack of organization/scheduling/follow-up or workmanship. Those ""hiccups"" somehow became my responsibility by having to call constantly to get STM to handle. At that point I realized they're all about getting your money, but once they have it, they could care less about all other aspects of doing business and customer service. THE KICKER... On several occasions I reached out to the owner who emailed me in the beginning of the entire process. You know, the reason STM got my business, because even the owner is taking an interest... Called him several times when ""hiccups"" were occurring, and needless to say, he couldn't be bothered to email or call back. If you still ultimately go w/STM - for whatever reason - good luck, but you were warned! Pros: Nice people Cons: Poor Service, Lack of follow-up, Attention to Detail Lacking
