Review content:
I have been going there for several years now, and have watched it transform from a small petting zoo and produce stand into this million dollar a year industry. The prices have always been great, which is probably why I was willing to drive a half-hour each way to get there. Lately, it has become so overcrowded that it is nearly impossible to get a parking space. Items are set up too close together, and it is too cluttered to move through with ease. Carts are available for use, but God forbid, if you use one, fill it up with merchandise, and try to take it inside to pay for it. Today I tried that, and the owner stopped what he was doing and yelled at me in a very loud voice saying ""You can't bring that cart in here!"" I was completely embarassed, as everyone was looking at me like I was a freak. Other people had their carts inside, and were using them to drag their kids around, but I was told to get the cart out through the back door by a snippy little blonde teenager. This meant I had to carry all of my items in by hand even though I had a lot and it was heavy (2 large hanging baskets, 2 watermelons, peppers, lemons, etc.) I paid for my stuff, and left in tears. I will never return. Things might cost more at a retail store, but at least you don't get yelled at for bringing your cart through the line. Frog Pond needs to remember that consumers always have a choice. My entire extended family won't be returning, and that amounts to several thousands of dollars a year in lost revenue to them. The customer should always leave feeling good about their experience, not crying because they were yelled at and embarassed. I would rather drive three hours down to Amish country, where produce is even cheaper, and the folks respect their customers. Pros: cheap produce Cons: limited parking, overcrowded, owner yells at people
