Review content:
When I started visiting Frog Pond I was a transplant from VA who had grown up on a farm with fresh produce popping out of our ears. Knowing that nothing tastes as good as homegrown, but not having time to grow it all myself, I was anxious to find a place that I could shop and get what I wanted. One of my new neighbors told me about Frog Pond, and I fell in love. Not only are the prices more reasonable than most grocery stores, guests are encouraged to sample it as they walk around. The homey atmosphere and constant bustling are wonderful. While I admit it can get crowded, (and I don't like crowds at all), I've found a system that works. I grab a wagon, park it, then walk around the store grabbing a few things at a time and taking them back to ""base"". When I'm done, I pull my wagon into line and there is always a helpful someone around help me unload it onto the counter until it's paid for, then bag it and help me out to my car. \r \r I will admit that the owner does seem rather stern at first, but as I've returned many times a summer, for many summers now, I have found that I like that sternness - it reminds me of the people I was surrounded with when I grew up. No nonsense farmers, with a serious attitude about their business on top and a wonderful sense of humor underneath. I'm a regular there now, buying hundreds of dollars worth of produce every summer to can. \r \r Nothing makes my week like a trip to Frog Pond. I'm glad I found it, and I'm glad that they are doing so well. I would hate to have to give up my trips to their wonderful store. Pros: Atmosphere, service, food quality, prices Cons: A little crowded unless you time it well.
