Review content:
Having grown up 15 minutes from Frog Pond, and lived in major cities throughout the US and Europe in my adult years, I return to this place often as a reminder of a REAL farmer's market set on a working farm, and with appreciation for the value and importance of shopping locally (if you care about pesticides, preservatives, and supporting your local businesses). \r
\r
If you are looking for produce infused with additives to make them look good and taste bland, or can't handle the ""smells"" of being on a family farm, (which incidentally are not overbearing, but more character building), then don't go to Frog Pond. And honestly, the only thing worth shopping for at Great American (that you can't even get at Frog Pond) is their meat. Great American has great deals on steaks, ground sirloin, pork tenderloin, and chicken!\r
\r
Frog Pond is a place that has old school charm, the kind that has been lost and unappreciated by people looking for apples, while shopping for oranges. \r
\r
One thing I will say is if you are trying to shop in bulk for food to last you for one to two weeks, that probably won't work here. No preservatives=fresh=needs to be eaten in the next 3-4 days, or take a gamble!
