Review content:
I have only good things to say about Maharani for dining-in and take-out. I haven't been on a weekend, but on weeknights it's easy to get a table without reservations. The service is friendly and attentive, but not hovering or pressuring. The prices are a bit more than on the Lower East Side, but the atmosphere is nicer. They have some of the best palak paneer I've ever had, it tastes very spinachy-fresh; the samosas are huge; and I love the shrimp buhna (which I haven't had anywhere else, but confidence in Maharani encouraged me to try something new). There aren't many Indian restaurants near me, so I feel lucky to have Maharani about 20 minutes away. I highly recommend it.
Pros: Tasty food, easy parking, pleasant service, quick seating
