Review content:
My seven year old daughter and I took my wife to celebrate her birthday. I asked for a booth upon making the reservation and received affirmation. I noted that my daughter is quite active around an open table. The Maitre D (Cory) took us into a nearly empty restaurant and seated us in the very middle of the floor. I kindly asked for any booth. He refused coldly. Upon my questioning all the open booths, he became belligerent and said they were reserved. We sat in the middle of the room, and watched the booth activity. The first group appeared to be friends of Cory and received the corner booth. Over the course of our 90 minute dinner, the booths were never filled to 100%. Two booths remained empty the entire time. They apparently call it VIP service...which in street terms equates to grease some palms if you want a booth...I wonder if this is known activity by Morton's. I've been going to Morton's for decades in every city and have never seen such poor treatment. Pros: Great food & service AFTER the Maitre D/Gen Mgr Cons: Beligerent / Discriminating Maitre D/Gen Mgr (Cory)
