I think everyone that lives in nashville, has heard of this place. Its legendary, but in my opinion the food is only average. Today I had your basic eggs, sausage, and pancakes. With a name like the pancake pantry you would expect the pancakes to steal the show, but honestly I've had better. The service is pretty spotty too. in the past i've been served fairly quickly, but the past two times I've been to the restaurant, i've had to wait atleast 10-15 minutes before my order was taken. I understand there were busy, but its no excuse. Also some of the staff might want to check their attitudes when they are talking to others. When I asked for a box at the counter for my food, a waitress huff and puffed while she went off to get my box, and then she didnt see me as she returned and said ""where the hell is he?!??!? I'll remember that next time I decide where to have breakfast.
Pros: Some of the speciality pancakes, especially the parisienne (SP?) are very good.
Cons: Service has its ups and downs. Super high expectations cant possibly be met with the food.
