Pancake Pantry is famous for its weekend-morning line that usually stretches around the corner, full of people willing to stand and wait for those pancakes. I am often one of those people. If you're a pancake or French toast fan, the wait really is worth it. Pancake Pantry has so many interesting pancake varieties -- the usual blueberry is on the list, but so is a Swedish pancake with lingonberries, silver dollar pancakes, a Caribbean version with coconut and pineapple, sweet potato pancakes . . . Be sure to ask for the cinnamon cream syrup; it's so much better than ordinary maple.
A warning: the service is about speed and functionality. There's not much warm fuzziness going on. Also, bring a sweater or jacket. It's always freezing in the restaurant. I don't know why.
