Review content:
The most important reason I keep coming back to Aldo's is that the food is really authentic. It is very difficult to find a place here, where Italian food tastes Italian and has not been americanized yet. Aldo's is the only one I know in the Bay Area and I have been to all others on this Top 10 list.
You can make the test yourself by comparing the Melanzane among all of them.
The only area for improvement I see is in the consistency. Sometimes I would rate the food 11, sometimes just 8 for the same dish. Nevertheless I have never been disappointed.
The 2nd most important reason is the great atmosphere. No matter how diverse the audience, it always blends together well. I have never felt being pressured to speed up and leave like in most other places.
