I have to say that this is the best sushi in town. This place should be called Sushi GEM instead of Sushi Gen because that's what it is, a real gem in a sea of lack luster sushi bars in Albuquerque. Everything is fresh, well prepared and you just can't beat the price. The wait staff is always friendly, courteous and helpful if you are a sushi novice and have any questions. I have never had a bad meal here. I have introduced many people to this restaurant. Everyone has loved it and couldn't wait to bring there friends to try it. The eel is truly out of this world and the crunch roll is a must try. They have a great selection of specialty rolls, as well as the traditional style of sushi, sashimi and appetizers. There is a bar, so you can enjoy watching the sushi being prepared, and tables and booths to enjoy the company of friends and family while having a great meal. The atmosphere is quiet and calm and the decor is understated but comfortable. It's not a fancy sushi joint but the food will have you coming back again and again. They offer an all you can eat sushi menu and a regular menu to order individual rolls, sushi and sashimi. The all you can eat menu does say that you will be a charge for any uneaten sushi including rice. But for the price, I think it's very fair deal.
