After a four year Sushi-hiatus and a move out to Milwaukee, I decided it was time to try again. Oh, I'd had a few California Rolls after ""the incident,"" and four years of not being able to look at a roll, but I was really starting to miss real sushi. I just happened to be driving down 82nd one day when I saw a little hole in the wall Sushi place, so I decided that for dinner my boyfriend and I would be trying Sushi & Maki. We sat doen and he ordered off of their Japanese menu (Tonkatsu pork. . .AMAZING) and I had a firld day ordering all kinds of rolls. You get an amazingly fresh tasting cucumber salad and miso soup when you order a dinner. We also ordered the pan fried gyoza and ika tempura. . .OH LORD! So amazing. Everything was so good that we went back the very next night!!! The interior is really cute, the staff is incredibly friendly and best of all you get TONS of sushi for your money. When we left, I was so full I took my sushi home and ate it as a midnight snack! Forget every other sushi place you've ever been to. . .Sushi & Maki is the only way to go! Pros: You get a lot of food for your $$$, THE FOOD!!!, friendly staff, red bean ice cream, the list goes on Cons: None (well, I didn't like the green tea ice cream, but I just won't get it again!)
