Review content:
We have been regulars at El Rancho Grande since moving to Miami Beach but will be finding alternative Mexican from now on. Our takeout order took 2 and a half hours to be delivered last night. We made 6 calls checking on the status and were told 6 times that the order had just left and would arrive in ten minutes. Finally one helpful staff member actually apologized and told us the charge would be void as we had waited so long. The manager (who was unwilling to speak with us before this point) had the nerve to call 5 minutes later to let us know the person on the prior call did not have authorization to comp our meal and we would in fact be charged. Very embarassing with 6 dinner guests waiting for over 2 hours to eat. My recommendation - drive the extra 10 minutes to South Beach for great Mexican food with a smile. And to the manager - here's a lesson in simple mathematics - you just sacrificed our weekly visit - let's say 52 x a $60 check = $3120 of custom a year to save a measly forty bucks.
