I discovered Antoine several years ago when a friend visiting from out of town stumbled into his salon to have her daughter's hair cut, with highlights. It looked so great, that I had to go myself. I had recently moved to LA and was still searching for a good stylist. I walked into the Manhattan Wave salon on Halloween. Antoine was wearing an afro and some other outfit. I was a bit scared. However, I walked out looking gorgeous. (yes, really). Since then, Antoine and I have been attached at the hip. I was thrilled that he finally opened his own salon in Manhattan Beach where Manhattan Wave used to be. Not only do I always get an incredible haircut and color, but Antoine and his staff always go out ot their way to make me comfortable, by making sure I have something to drink, magazines, coins in the meter for my car...whatever it takes. But most of all, I love that my hair always looks fantastic. I now reside most of the year in SF...but I come back to Antoine whenever I can. You should go too if you live in the South Bay. Or anywhere. ;-)
