Businiess name:  Old World German Restaurant

Review content:
Due to the poor reviews seen here, almost didn't go to this restaurant. But we braved it and went. \r \r I found the dinner experience to be very pleasant, overall. The very-german hostess (and owner) was nice and seemed willing to reflect any positive acknolowdgement, and smiled and welcomed us. Possibly she is also ready to reflect negative acknowlegement, like you might expect of most actual Europeans. If you're expecting someone to run over and kiss your a**, and be all happy like at Bennigan's, you might be disappointed, and if rude to her, she might return it, plus some. \r \r It was clean and cozy with few other diners and we received immediate service. Some reviews advised $$$; But all under $20; most under $15. Salad with German dressing: fresh and tasty. German coffee: different and good. Smoked porkchops & bratwurst. Some might say the portions are small; meat portions follow European standards:1/3 of the plate, 1 bratwurst and 1 porkchop. Not 1/2 like your chain eatery. Tons of kraut and potatoes, and I was full. It was all excellent. Desserts; apple strudel & Bavarian cream cake, large and good (and easily feed two), but pricey at $6.00 each. Who cares, the rest of the meal was pretty reasonable.\r \r I haven't been for lunch or deli part. But if you ever go to a real deli on the east coast or in Europe, you may notice that a large portion of abuse is usually available for you, and possibly on the menu.\r \r As for the other reviews saying non-authentic because ""there are mexicans working in the back"", I'd say, 'Find me a restaurant on this hemisphere where that isn't the case"". If a mexican waitress in a German national dress isn't entertaining...\r \r The only thing I could possibly slam the place on was the men's room cleanliness, which seemed to need more of a demolition and rebuilding than actual cleaning. If this was up to par, I'd say the whole experience was excellent and I will definitely be going back, if the reviews don't put it out of business first. Pros: Great, authentic (or at least tasty) food and reasonable Cons: If hanging out in the men's bathroom is your thing, you may be dissapointed
