Review content:
Davis Imperial is clearly the best cleaner in Chicago! For several years I have sent my more expensive clothes to them since their quality is clearly better than numerous cleaners I have tried. They cost more than the cleaners in my apartment building (where I would send cheaper clothes I didn't care about) but the difference in quality is dramatic. I made the mistake of sending several new and expensive cotton dress shirts to my building cleaners, just to save the extra day or two of turnaround time. I was quite dismayed to see that the shirts looked ruined when I picked them up. Most notably the collars were ""shiny"" and very mangled. At the time I thought I had just ruined almost $1,000 worth of shirts.
I spoke with Rick Wood (one of the owners) and he and his team were incredibly helpful and informative. Most importantly they were able to return the shirts to like-new condition.
Kudos to Davis Imperial!
P.S. I have learned the hard way not to scrimp when it comes to taking care of good clothes.
