Review content:
Despite friendly service, I had a disappointing experience at Phoenix Rising. I requested a ""body wave,"" and I left with a head full of tight spiral curls. It felt like a ""one-size-fits-all"" approach to perming -- the stylist used (very small) spiral rods, despite the fact that I'd wanted a ""wavy"" look. I told her I was surprised by how curly it was, and she said that the curls would loosen and my long hair should weigh them down. It's been over a month and the curls still haven't dropped. I paid well over $100, and I'm still frustrated by the results. I didn't call to complain because I don't ever plan to go back. For now, I'm just waiting for my hair to grow out. Cute place, but I was disappointed.
Pros: friendly staff, nice atmosphere
Cons: unhappy with results, pricey, given outcome
