Review content:
So we are pathetic. We drove one hour from SD to Newport Beach just for a cupcake. Yes, that is the only reason. Yes, we stopped by some of the beaches along the way -- but honestly we only made the journey to come to Sprinkles. And, had they not opened this one in Newport Beach -- we would have driven to Beverly Hills. Pathetic, I know. But, we live in Cleveland and we don't have Sprinkles in Cleveland. So when we come to So. California, we go to Sprinkles.\r
\r
This time however, it just wasn't the same. Maybe the differences in location? Maybe we were expecting too much? Sometimes the excitment is too much hype.... but the frosting was way too sweet, and lathered on way too much -- and the cupcake seemed a lot smaller (the cake part) than the ones we used to get in Bev Hills. Maybe my imagination. Maybe not.\r
\r
Guess we will stick to the 2-hour drive next time... better to drive 2 hours and not be disappointed. Better yet -- hey Sprinkles -- open one in Cleveland. (On second thought... that's probably not such a good idea.)
Pros: Sprinkles...
Cons: Frosting was too sweet...
