This review has nothing to do with auto repairs or getting the best price at the pump ~ I'm talking about the stuff that really counts: good on-the-go grub!! I don't even come to this corner station to fill up my car. Even though there's a Perkins right next door for some body refueling, I stop by here just to feed my face. Apparently Chicagoans will rejoice at the sight of a Vienna Beef vendor outside the Windy City, and for good reason. They serve the standard high-quality hot dogs and polishes, but I go straight for the main attraction every time. There's this spicy heaping delicacy known as a hot Italian beef sandwich that has stolen my heart & is the sole reason I regret relocating to the south. Its just so packed full of flavorful, juicy cuts of beef, dripping with savory au jus, and the hearty bread is the perfect complement to pull everything together. Get it with extra peppers ~ you just might fall in love. Pros: Unexpected good eats!! Cons: I don't remember pulling up to a pump...EVER...(Holiday is cheaper)
