What a horrible experience! It's strange to look at another person's review and see things mirrored so closely! We had enormous trouble getting MFM to respond in a timely manner, losing us one chance to bid on the house we wanted. In the month and a half long process, we almost never heard back within 24 hours. We had to send the same documents to several different people, and then had others claim that they had no record. Our closing costs started okay, but then every following estimate raised the amounts to the point that they doubled by the end of it. Getting firm estimates on closing costs required me to learn how to calculate the figures and looking up tax records MYSELF. Finally, without any word to us, our agent had a family emergency and was out the entire week that we were supposed to close! It seems he didn't even tell anyone that we were going to close that week at all! The person who took over our case was good (ironic that the best thing to happen to us was our agent vanishing), but then on the date of closing the money got wired to the wrong place completely! I have never in my life been so thoroughly unhappy, unsatisfied, and disgusted with the level of service anywhere. Learn from our mistakes and stay far, far away.
