Review content:
Restaurant week is not the ideal time to judge a place - it's packed, and waiters and chefs are harried. In normal circumstances, this is a very nice place. The tall, older blond head waiter was very nice when he thought we were not one of the masses of people descending for Restaurant Week. When not, he was obviously full of contempt. It's silly - be nice regardless - and do not laugh in your sleeve at customers, because if they like it they'll be back for real - or just be nice because you should be. Dessert was hurled onto the table - it was odd, but again - Restaurant Week. The back waiter was very conscientious and polite. Prices aren't that scary - one saves about half with Rest Week, though I'm sure there are customers who purchase more expensive wine. You can expect to pay $60 normally for a full meal minus drinks. (Sorry for talking brass tacks - but Ruth's Chris is cheaper and better than most other high-star steak places.) The cheaper wine is not the best and is in smaller portions - spring a few more dollars, ask for the wine steward's help, and get a bottle. The food is divine. The meat was better than Del Friscos at its best time (not Rest Week). The sides and dessert were good but not memorable. The steak was the best ever tasted. Seriously very good. It came sizzling in butter on a hot plate, and the temperature, tenderness, and taste were perfect. Pros: Steak is best ever tasted Cons: Waitstaff needs to serve ""masses"" as well as elite
