This is hands down the best restaurant in Malibu. The reviews below pretty much say it all. Go there even if you don't want Italian food. Besides typically Italian dishes (THE best melt in our mouth lasagna I've ever had... this includes Italy) you will find things on the menu like beef stew. Sound boring?... Wrong! The roots of the place are in Claudio's home town in northern Italy, with recipies created by his mother. The beef stew is an example; It's one of those dishes that the people there actually eat, but I've never seen it on a menu in an Italian restaurant before. Claudio and Wilfredo will prepare it for you with anything you like (I suggest fettucine alfredo with it). I know... you don't like fettucine alfredo because it's always too cheesy and gooey and heavy... Wrong again. It's exquisite here.. the way it's meant to be prepared. Not in the mood for Italian at all? Try the incredible pork porterhouse (often on the menu) with roasted potatoes and a vegetable.\r Oh, one more thing... In a town with lots of pretentious, overpriced places with mediocre food, The Sage Room is reasonably priced. They even have a wine selection of the month for $20 a bottle; I always order it, and it's always excellent. The Sage Room is a gem. If you like great dining, you're guaranteed to love it.\r \r
