Review content:
I had my wedding at Glendalough in April.I will say the grounds outside are beautiful. There are plenty of lovely places to have your pictures made and all my guests commented on how gorgeous the grounds were.I would def. recommend to anyone to have the ceremony at GM, but, not the reception.I really wish i had read reviews before booking my reception. My wedding planner was the owner's daughter and was very rude. Before the wedding day i had to follow up with her and repeatedly ask her to return my call and follow up on the things that she had promised. Her attitude was that she was doing me a favor. She stayed long enough for the wedding party announcements at the reception (and was very rude to some of the wedding party) and then i didn't see her again that evening. The event was not well organized. The cake table was pushed into the corner and they had us do the cake cutting with our backs to our guests. There was another wedding reception across the hall and we were allowed approx. 30 minutes after our ceremony to take pictures before we were made to go inside. The DJ was the owner's son and he was HORRIBLE.DON'T USE HIM.We even had guests comment about it and ask why we chose him (GM recommended him).He was not entertaining, did not take any control on the different events that evening, played the wrong mother/son song, etc. Also, read the contract. It is there way or no way.i have noticed the same complaints from different people on this site and wish i had taken note! There are plenty of other places in Atlanta that are affordable, i would not trust this facility with such an important and once in a lifetime event.
