Review content:
As owners of the Greencradle, we have spent the last five years building this family-owned company from scratch with the goal of providing people with genuine organic products in a sea of fraudulent organic claims. As business-owners and parents of small children ourselves, this store and what it stands for is very important to us. This sort of review is simply unethical to post, and this poster indeed threatened to put up this negative review if we didn't agree to his extortionist and unreasonable demands for essentially a free crib. \r \r I personally helped the poster, and the facts he has represented are untrue. The poster and his wife came into the store looking for a specific crib they had found online. They not only knew the maker of the crib, but were price-shopping. I quoted them a price for the floor model at below retail price. (Quite obviously, this was the lowest price the poster had found for this solid wood, American-made, chemical free crib, as evidenced by the fact that he admits that he indeed came back to try to BUY IT in the end!!! ) As set as his wife was on buying this crib, the poster neither bought it, nor even put down a deposit on it. Instead the couple left. \r \r The poster then came back a WEEK later and tried to bargain again on the price. He now claimed that the crib was in horrible condition, so we should sell it to him for basically nothing. He also insisted that we should deliver it to his house for free, because he was doing us a favor by taking the crib off our hands. He was rude and disrespectful. Quite obviously, the crib was in good condition, as he wanted to place his newborn baby in it. As we could not meet his unreasonable demands, we declined his offer. He left.\r \r The couple then came back a few days later and tried to bargain yet again. We offered to take an additional $10 off the crib to appease them, but the poster refused. The next day another customer came in and bought the floor model. \r \r When the poster returned in the following days, he AGAIN attempted to bargain on the price of the crib for a FOURTH TIME, but was told that the crib had already been sold. He was furious, insisting we had no right to sell the crib to anyone else, even though he had neither agreed to the price or delivery costs, nor put down a deposit on the crib, (nor even so much as provided his name or phone number). \r \r He then threatened us, saying that if we did not provide him with a brand NEW crib for the same floor model cost (plus free delivery), he would post a negative review of our store online. No one has the right to abuse the hard-earned reputation of a business that has spent the last five years pursuing an ethical business model. \r
