Review content:
We have been to Oceanaire at least six times, and every time has been an amazing experience. Their food is excellent with our favorites being the Crab Cakes (seems like 95% crab with just enough filling to keep them together), and the Alaskan King Crab legs. Although there are times I enjoy cracking some crab legs, they offer the choice to have it fully shelled so you just get a heaping pile of steaming hot crab meat ready for dipping in butter. It makes it much easier to eat, and not as distracting to conversation.
The service is some of the best we have ever had, and can be enhanced by a quick call to make a reservation and let them know about special occasions or requests. The staff greats us by name (even the first visit - good situational awareness given time and party size), and are attentive without being overbearing. An easy example of their training and attention to detail is that the tables are decorated with white linens, but if one is wearing black, they switch the napkin out to black. They accomplish this so smoothly most do not notice, thus preventing ruining a great meal by standing up to white lint on that pretty black dress!
Make sure to call ahead to make sure they have the Alaskan King crab as it is not always in season.
This is our favorite seafood restaurant in Orlando, and in the top 3 for the whole state. We have recommended it to many friends, and none have been disappointed.
Other tips: there is free valet (make sure to tip), and it is easier to access when heading NE on I-drive. You will see the Capital Grill sign first, take the next 45 right entrance, and you will then see Oceanaire right after the Capital Grill. Give your waiter your valet ticket when you pay the bill, and they will have your car brought up to prevent a wait.
Pros: Service, Crab Cakes, AK King Crab
