Review content:
this tiny place is my favorite restaurant in the East Bay since I started dining there in October 2002. warm and intimate, you can sit on the stools inside and watch the cooking action, or on picnic benches outside and be served right through the windows of the kitchen. or take your goodies home. wherever you eat, the food is delicious and sophisticated, yet simple. always surprising, amazing combinations (a favorite was the truffled potato gratin - or as my sister called it, ""trufflatoes"".) we've mostly visited at lunchtime, when you get scrumptious gourmet meals at incredible prices. (and you get $.50 off if you save your container and present it at your next meal!) portions are definitely big enough to share. gregoire himself is very warm and friendly and makes you feel like you're sitting in his kitchen at home. there's something for everyone's taste.
Pros: perfect gourmet food, friendly, affordable
Cons: parking
