I decided to spend a little extra money and go with a big name mover. I called world wide van lines. Lance, a salesperson from world wide van lines called me back and after our discussion, sent me an estimate for 2000lbs and one for 3000lbs (I thought I'd be somewhere between the two). His rates for the move were great, compared to the other big namers (United, Atlas) I've spoken with so far. He was also able to send me a truck asap, since I called him on Jan 14th and was leaving by jan 24th. Lance was great, very friendly and accommodating. I felt very comfortable speaking with him unlike some of these folks I've spoken with recently. He passed me over to Kevin, an operations manager, who was also great and was very professional. I checked out world wide via the internet, and they have been around for 10+ years and had minimal complaints listed on BBB and FMCSA. So, my stuff made it to my new house on time and undamaged! A few boxes/containers had some corners/sides bent in a bit, but I boxed my fragile stuff smartly with lots of blankets inside the boxes or containers. This moving company was great. Bill was the driver/boss and was excellent. They were all very professional, took great care of all my stuff (wrapped, padded, etc), and worked fast. I highly recommend world wide van lines. They really know how to make a customer feel important.
