Okay - so skybar rocks and the mondrian is gorgeous...but Asia de Cuba - CERTAINLY leaves something to be desired. The hosts are kinda rude, the food is bad, the service is horrible and well - it leaves a HUGE hole in your wallet. Certainly not what I expected. I expected the restaurant and the food to match the beautiful hotel. But it didn't. We ordered the chicken skewers (dry and bland), the beef dumplings (there were 3 and they were overcooked!!!), the calamari salad (most decent thing we had), the rock shrimp (tasted like OIL), as appetizers. Four people ordered 3 main dishes (as was recommended) and none of it was worth the price. I would stick to Mojitos in the patio...... The host asked me if my name was italian - i said no and he asked where it was from and when i said where i was from - he looked PETRIFIED and was utterly rude from that point on. RUDE!! Maybe if you're a Paris Hilton wannabe who is willing to flirt - then you MIGHT get decent service - but don't bother going here with your boyfriend, or on a double date. SOOOO NOT WORTH IT! Good spot for celeb sightings though - i've seen Colin Farrell and Mike Tyson here... Pros: beautiful view, beautiful hotel, nice ambience Cons: horrible food, greasy and overpriced; snooty service
