Review content:
We went to Regalito for dinner after looking all over SF for a sit-down (not burrito joint) Mexican restaurant. The atmosphere was the first thing to impress us - giving off a vibe of both warm and fresh. The food to follow intensified that first impression. The food came out quickly on a plate with no fuss. The portions were just right and quite a deal for the price. We were actually surprised that the entree prices included rice and beans. Everything was just right - not too heavy or overpowering but full of flavor. We loved the carnitas, the carne asada, and the flan. We've since been back 3 or 4 times and everything has been consistently tasty. We actually went for brunch today and the chilaquiles were amazing! I think Regalito is the right combination of an affordable, yet delicious, neighborhood spot - a perfect addition to SF!
Pros: Atmosphere, food, service
Cons: Can get busy since it's small, so go early
