Review content:
As everyone states, the gym is dirt cheap which is one of the only reasons why they are still in business. The other reason is that there just aren't any good gyms in that area of Quincy yet. Ownership is obviously disillusioned in how to run a good gym. The hires made at this gym are atrocious, beginning with management and all the way through the front desk (with a few exceptions). Most of the time there isn't anyone at the front desk, and generally the employees just hang around or talk on the phone. They have rules posted all over the gym that are never enforced, the weights are never picked up or organized, and most of the gym is pretty nasty. The areas in plain sight are usually ok, but you couldn't pay me enough to shower in the mold ladened bathroom, where the lockers are filthy, there is almost always standing water in the area with the toilet, and the overall ventilation system in the gym is practically non-existant. They had a good manager about a year ago who started cleaning things up, but he left shortly after. Simple things like paper towels (which should never run out) and cleaner in the spray bottles are often empty, and good luck trying to get someone out of their chair to change the channel on the TV. Don't get me wrong, there are about two or three good young women working at the front desk, but pretty much everybody else should be jobless. I'm sure most of the attitutudes come from the top down, but the place needs to be gutted and under new ownership to ever get me to stop in there again. Finally, the true personalities of the staff come out when they try to close about 10 minutes early every night and start screaming on the intercom. I travel alot and have been in many gyms, and I have to suggest you try and find another gym. I mean, just look at the uneducated ramblings of one of their employees from earlier this month.
Pros: cheap
Cons: dirty, terrible staff, wasted time trying to find weights or clean off equipment
