Review content:
I had seen the sign for Mikado and decided to try it last night for a birthday dinner. I've been to alot of sushi restaurants from the West coast to the Caribbean and this place is hands down THE best. The decor is first class, and the food is unbelievable. Mikado also had an extensive sake menu and very attentive service. And the prices were very reasonable for sushi. The only thing preventing the evening from being truly exceptional was a screaming toddler, though not the fault of the restaurant. That being said, it was an enjoyable culinary experience at a first-rate restaurant - something Austin has been lacking on the Asian restaurant scene. Pros: food, service, decor Cons: toddler/kids
