Review content:
The sushi was okay. It was reasonably fresh and tasted reasonably good. There were a few more bells and whistles than I like to have in sushi (no cream cheese, thank you very much). But the service was really obnoxious. At first I didn't understand how the menu was organized and when I asked, the young woman was pretty patronizing. Turns out that the menu is in two sections - rolls that aren't inside out, and rolls that are. Once I saw that, I got it, but the server was incredibly patronizing while she explained what a sushi roll is. Sorry, dear. I've probably been eating sushi since before you were born. Your little restaurant in Ferndale, MI is not the place to be condescending to an Asian American ordering sushi. Moreover, she didn't take our food order until our drinks were half finished (about 20 minutes), and then the food didn't come out for another 40. The restaurant was empty. Luckily, we were drunk from drinking our martinis on empty stomachs so we just laughed it off. I'd go back because the sushi was pretty good, the prices were pretty good, the drinks were pretty good, and maybe little Ms. Muffin has moved on in her career. Pros: reasonably good Cons: service is obnoxiously bad
