After reading a June '08 review and hearing raves from friends, I made a point to visit the little bakery on Villa Place - Dulce Desserts. When I arrived, I was greeted by the owner who was in the middle of creating a memorable and unique groom's cake. She put down her pastry bag and invited me to look at a variety of her creations. She and her employees were so friendly and helpful. I selected a variety of cupcakes - banana split, vanilla, chocolate chocolate - to share with my family. (I have 2 boys.) We all agreed that the cupcakes were the BEST we'd ever enjoyed. These cupcakes are not to be swallowed in 2 bites. The richness of the cake combined with the lightness of the whipped icing make these cupcakes a gourmet delight!\r

I like these folks and their creations so much that I brought an out-of-town guest to the bakery for an indulgence. She and I will be back with others in tow.\r

Dulce Desserts is not just cupcakes. Their bakery goods and specialty cakes are works of art - delicious ones at that.
