I so wanted to like this place as I had read so many raves about it. No doubt they have a very romantic candlelit setting with great music and the service was the best I have had in Austin. The food - just not good at any level. We started with the beef tartar and calamari. The beef tasted like raw ground round with wasabi - terrible texture. The calamari was rubbery and bland. The salad was good - had a nice dressing and tasty berries on a bed of greens. I had the risotto which was incredibly salty and my husband had the lamb shank - uneventful at best. Like I said, we really wanted to like this place because of the wonderful staff and atmosphere but it just didn't make the grade:(
Pros: very romantic - best service in austin-great wine
Cons: food was bland and boring
