If you dial the 888 number - forget it. Speaking to a real human at Best Buy is virtually impossible. If you go to the store, speak to the service desk, you will be well pleased.
It floors me how much Corporate America has changed since I earned my AAS degree in Business Management as the last graduating class of what was Utah Technical College, March, 1987. AAS means Associate in ""APPLIED SCIENCE"", with emphasis on""APPLIED"". My minor was Marketing. I was taught my the best and the brightest and left with a feeling of hope for our country if only a few of the principles learned were actually applied. As years went by I watched carefully as perhaps the first line of defense as well as support for any large company, CUSTOMER SERVICE took a nose dive across the board right for the toilet - BEST BUY definitely included. Well structured but aloof. I was told by one who works there that news hires get a white shirt and go directly to the GEEK SQUAD! Raised eyebrows? Me too. I went in a few days ago to pick up a DOCSYS 3 Ethernet Hub for my new ARRIS broadband modem. A what? I left, bought it at super WALLY-WORLD.
