When we moved to Bham I intended to let my daughter try out all the reputable local dance schools. The first year we chose a strong ballet school and my daughter learned a lot but did not enjoy the environment and hated going. The next year we tried a different ballet studio and she had a wonderful time but really did not learn anything. The next year we had a conflict with class schedule of our next choice and ended up at Dale Serrano. The first month we were there, my daughter learned more than the entire previous year and we both loved the learning environment. We ended up stopping our search and have been with Serrano for 10 years experiencing wonderful instruction and fabulouse recitals beyond anything we experience anywhere else in Nashville or Birmingham. My daughter has gravitated toward hip hop, jazz and tap and especially loves to dance to showtunes and I love that they have encouraged her to find her own passion. I believe the school is especially strong in providing a professional and respectful environment for learning and more importantly promoting and preserving the students love for dance. I would also like to address a previous review - Dale Serrano's is absolutely one of the most reasonably priced studios in the area.
Pros: Quality Instruction, Positive Environment, Reasonable Prices
Cons: Recital Video includes your dances but not entire recital.
