Review content:
I stumbled across this page and felt I needed to write this as I see others have had similar experiences. Soon after I heard of Danny's I went quite regularly until I had a run-in with a man behind the counter who I feel was the owner. My dad and I collect coins and for Christmas one year he gave me some Sakagawea (gold) dollar coins. On this busy lunch visit to Danny's everything was great and I went to the register to pay. I handed the lady 5 or 6 coins to pay for lunch and the man beside her barks out ""I don't want those things."" At first I was sort of confused and thought he might be joking because the statement seemed so out of place but the lady kind of stopped and didn't say anything. I gathered myself and said that my dad gave them to me for Christmas and his response was ""Well take 'em back to your dad because I don't want' em!"" At this point I'm getting mad but I was with a friend who gets embarrassed at public displays so I still tried to keep my cool. It went back and forth a few more times before I finally said that I was paying with these or not paying, handed them to the lady who gave me my change. All the while this guy is still mouthing off! To this day I kick myself for not flipping out in front of everybody in the restaurant over this treatment. We've all had good and bad experiences at restaurants and stores but this was far and away the worst I have ever been treated. I'm glad business is so good you can act like a school yard bully when interacting with your satisfied, paying customers. One more point. Through the whole exchange, he never looked me in the eye. Chump. I will continue to tell this story every chance I get in the hopes that people will find another restaurant where the owner appreciates the customers.
