I'm new to backcountry skiing and went to AlpenGlow based on a friend's recommendation. I guess they're a kayaking shop in the summer and my friend actually purchased his first kayak through them this past summer. I went in not sure what I was looking for or needed, and was a little intimidated. I was greeted right away and felt taken care of the whole time. The guy helping me was EXTREMELY knowledgeable, not only about equipment but also on how to plan our trip. They didn't carry the ski jacket my husband was looking for so the salesperson called other stores trying to track one down. He was more attentive, knowledgeable and helpful than most other store reps I deal with on a daily basis. It made the experience easier for me (even enjoyable since he seemed to have a genuine passion for helping us out) and I will refer AlpenGlow to my parents and friends. Everyone in there was really helpful and friendly. Thanks AlpenGlow!
