Review content:
I had been experiencing a ton of pain on the lower right side of my mouth. At first it felt like a swollen gum, but gradually it became more and more painful, and I figured out that one of my molars was pushing into the other. I feared the worst, surgery. After a week of hoping it would go away, I was finally in too much pain to concentrate. Everything hurt to chew, and I always had the taste of blood in my mouth, despite no open wound. Something needed to be done fast. That's when I called Village Family Dental and explained to them my situation. Fortunately they were able to fit me in later that afternoon as the receptionist could tell I was in serious pain. I saw Dr. Papadopolous that afternoon and he was attentive, caring and inquisitive about the pain in the backside of my mouth. After a few quick x-rays, he was able to show me that I had an impacted molar and was going to need a tooth extraction ... I was terrified. Dr. Papadopolous assured me that this is common and that I had done nothing wrong. This simply happens to some people based on the shape of their jaw ... but that it probably didn't help that my jaw was fractured as a kid offsetting my alignment. But I digress, Dr. Papadopolous started with the novacaine and began the extraction. He told me I wouldn't feel a thing, and besides a little bit of pressure on my gums, I didn't feel a thing. The extraction took about 20 minutes, and then there was some ""necessary cleanup"". After the surgery, I had a friend pick me up and as the novacaine wore off, I was able to take some pain medication. I was really impressed with Village Family Dental and Dr. Papadopolous. He's not just a great dentist, he's a good person too.
