I've been a patient of the Village Family Dental for around 3 years. They always treat me with respect, and they are the friendliest people around, hence the loyalty. I love the fact that everything is done by trained dentists and hygienists and not someone who is more worried about her nails then my teeth. After some basic research on local practices that accept my insurance, I came Village Family Dental Office and scheduled a check-up with Dr. Papadopoulos. He is professional and friendly and makes an otherwise unpleasant experience rather enjoyable. The support staff are also courteous and amiable and everyone appears to really care about their patients. The office is clean and modern with the flat screen behind the front desk rotating different works of art being a nice, simple touch. I would highly recommend Village Family Dental Office to anyone.\r more

I'll start by saying...""I absolutely hate going to the dentist!""  Therefore, I've jumped dental practices a lot!  However, I love this group!  I even got my husband to switch and try this group, and he has now switched for good.   We both see Dr. Papadopoulos, but everyone in the practice is pleasant, knowledge, and professional. With my job, I can sometimes be running late...even when I showed up 30 min late for an appt, they rushed me in and still saw me, when they could have just cancelled my appt and had me re-schedule....and they were very understanding! If you're looking for a dentist, I would start here and draw your own conclusion...oh, and the TV's on the ceiling are a nice touch when they recline your seat for a cleaning!\r more

This was the first time ever in my life that I was comfortable during and after the treatment. With my TMJ problems I'm very nervous with work that needs to be done on my teeth and this includes teeth cleaning. I didn't have this problem with Dr. Papadopoulos! Dr. Papadopoulos and His staff are friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. I found the overhead movie to be particularly nice. It helped me focus on something other then my teeth being drilled and made the time I was being worked on seem much shorter.\r more

Dr. Papadopoulus is such a great and gentle dentist. Very ethical and has a fantastic excellence for dentistry details. Exactly the person I want working my teeth. One thing that is unique about this office is that they have a number of talented doctors under one roof. This allows them to be able to take care of all your needs in one stop. For example for dental implants there is a periodontist and a cosmetic dentist to help you. I would recommend these dentists to everyone, they really give the gift of great dentistry!\r more

Thorough explanations in plain English, much appreciated during this visit. Clear treatment plans and very short wait times. Not sure if this is a good thing or not but I'm on a first name basis with most of the staff. I like to think of it as good business, hopefully not because I go there so often haha. For me the dentist has never been fun, but a bad experience a few years back left me more scared of the dentist as an adult than I was as a kid! That's why when I moved to the area. I decided to go with Dr. Papadopoulos after seeing the abundant good reviews - and now I know why. It was the most comfortable I've ever been at a dentist. Dr Papadopoulos was extremely informative and careful. He also used technology and procedures I hadn't experienced before (measuring gum depth and inflammation, took pics of my teeth and showed me, etc). He also had a great sense of humor. On top of all that, when I went to leave I was taken into a room to review my next appointment and a print out of exactly how my insurance coverage worked was waiting for me. I was even told how much I would have to pay out of pocket for certain services, and how much THAT day's visit deducted from my total 'pot' of money from insurance (and how much I had left). I was asked repeatedly if I had any questions or concerns. It was the most informative dentist visit and the most comfortable I've felt at a dentist, too.  I am excited I found a dentist for my husband and I so quickly and hope to pass along the word like it was passed to me!\r more

I was being overcharged for cavity fillings and dental cleanings since the last 2 years. They were charging me the full ‘Usual and Customary fees’ for the alternative treatments when they were supposed to charge me only the difference between the alternative treatment fee & the insurance-covered treatment fee. I had a cavity filling last year and that fell apart in 6 months and I went back after they promised me they will refill the cavity for no charge because it had been just 6 months. But once I was there, they told me that now I will need a crown and the charges would be $690. They downplayed the insurance covered treatment for which they quoted $350. I asked them if they could at least comp the $150 that I paid for cavity filling 6 months ago and they said it will be $625 for the alternative treatment. I called Guardian and to my amazement figured the insurance covered treatment shouldn't cost me more than $180. Got a shock. I set up a conference call and then figured out that the correct charge for the alternative treatment should be only $330 and not $625. After more investigation, figured that I shouldn't have paid $150 for the cavity filling 6 months ago because the correct charge was $50. OMG....I trusted the staff here and they were only being friendly to me because I was paying them nice money. When I asked them to give me a refund of all the overcharged amounts - they treated me very badly for 3 long months. The lady 'Leandra', says white lies with ease. Once she told me you won't get a refund because you are on a PPO plan and therefore you must pay all the money. I was shocked she said that, because I have been on a HMO plan forever. I had to have Guardian call her and tell her I am on a HMO plan. She kept saying such insane stuff for 3 months after which I had to file a case with Guardian, BBB and local city attorney and after a lot of back and forth they refunded a partial amount. Phew! I am never going back to this office and recommend to all - just check with your insurance and confirm that you are paying the right amount. more

A dentist is only as good as his or her reputation. I had heard from a friend that this is dentist office that she goes to, and figured it was worth a shot. I had experience bad dental appointments in the past with my previous dentist, but was apprehensive about making a switch. I mean, who wants to spend that much time looking in to something that could possibly be worse! But after my first cleaning with Dr. Papadopoulos I knew he was different. I recently went back to see him for a teeth whitening performed by his staff and I'm sold on him. His office is officially the best service I've ever experienced and he keeps the whole engagement light-hearted and fun. more
